Odisha CM Majhi Conducts Aerial Survey of Flood‑Hit Districts
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday conducted an aerial survey of flood‑affected southern districts, including Ganjam, Koraput, and Nabarangpur.
He was accompanied by Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari and Special Relief Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil to assess the extent of damage and monitor ongoing rescue and relief operations.
The Chief Minister reviewed agricultural losses, structural damage, and the closure of the Kalinga Ghati mountain pass, which has been shut indefinitely following consecutive landslides.
Later, Majhi visited Chandili Panchayat in Koraput district, where he inspected flood‑hit areas and relief shelters at Chandili High School.
He interacted with displaced citizens, checked food quality, and ensured proper arrangements for safe drinking water, dry rations, and medical aid.
Majhi directed district administrations to continue relief distribution, rescue operations, and healthcare services on a war footing.
He emphasised strict safety protocols in vulnerable areas and assured affected families of sustained government support.
