Odisha CM Directs Additional Land Acquisition for Godabarish Mishra Model Primary Schools
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high‑level meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan to finalise the framework of the Godabarish Mishra Adarsh Prathamika Vidyalaya project.
The initiative aims to transform primary education in Odisha by creating modern, well‑equipped campuses across the state.
Key discussions centred on land finalisation, architectural design, playground development, and multipurpose halls.
The Chief Minister directed officials to acquire additional land wherever necessary to ensure adequate space for world‑class infrastructure.
He emphasised that every child in Odisha should have access to quality education supported by modern facilities.
Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary Saswata Mishra, Principal Secretary (Finance) Sanjeev Mishra, School & Mass Education Commissioner Dr N. Tirumala Naik, Additional Secretary Anupam Saha, and OSEPA Director Ananya Das, attended the meeting.
The project, named after eminent educationist Godabarish Mishra, reflects Odisha’s commitment to strengthening school infrastructure and preserving cultural heritage.
