Odisha Cabinet Clears 10 Key Proposals, Reassures Farmers on Agristack Concerns

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: The 46th Odisha State Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan, approved ten proposals across multiple departments, signalling a push for technology, energy, water management, and farmer empowerment.

The Electronics & IT, Energy, Water Resources, and Women & Child Development departments each secured two proposals, while Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and General Administration cleared one each.

A major highlight was the clarification on Agristack registration, which had sparked concern among farmers.

The Cabinet confirmed that Agristack registration is not linked to PPAS registration for paddy procurement, ensuring farmers’ procurement process remains unaffected.

Chief Secretary Anu Garg reassured farmers that PPAS registration will continue as in previous years, dismissing fears of disruption.

The decisions reflect the government’s focus on modernisation while addressing grassroots concerns, balancing digital initiatives with farmer welfare.
