CM Majhi Reviews Gobardhan Peeth & Swargadwar Beach Development, Stresses Land Issue Solution

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high‑level review meeting at Lokaseva Bhavan on the development of Gobardhan Peeth and Swargadwar Beach in Puri.

The CM emphasised the need for a permanent solution to land issues affecting Gobardhan Peeth, directing officials to re‑examine old settlement records.

He stressed the importance of enhancing the spiritual dignity of Puri, beautifying the site of the daily Sandhya Mahodadhi Arati, and developing Swargadwar Beach into a magnificent spiritual destination.

Security measures for Jagadguru Shankaracharya, conservation of samadhi sites of previous Acharyas, and improved facilities at the Math and Sri Gobardhan Goshala were also discussed.

The government assured full commitment to protecting the rich heritage of Gobardhan Peeth.

The meeting was attended by senior ministers including Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and Peeth representatives such as Prafulya Chaitanya Maharaj.
