No AgriStack ID Needed: Odisha Farmers Can Register Freely
Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra has clarified that farmers are not required to possess an AgriStack ID to register for paddy procurement.
Out of 5,093 farmers who have registered so far, 3,108 have AgriStack IDs, while the rest remain eligible without it.
The minister emphasised inclusivity, confirming that sharecroppers can also register, addressing concerns raised by farmer groups.
The government’s stance ensures that no farmer is excluded from the procurement process due to lack of digital identification, reinforcing its commitment to accessibility and fairness in agricultural policy.
