Koraput Polytechnic Students to Receive High-Tech Training in EVs and AI

Government Polytechnic, Ambaguda in Jayapur, Koraput, has taken a major step toward modernising technical education by signing two MoUs with private institutions.

The collaborations with Skyy Skill Academy (Hyderabad) and Tech Communication Computer Academy (Bhubaneswar) will introduce students to cutting-edge fields such as electric vehicles, battery technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, Industry 4.0, and IT-enabled services.

Skyy Skill Academy will focus on EV and battery technology, offering industrial training, curriculum development, and short-term courses.

Meanwhile, Tech Communication Academy will provide training in AI, robotics, and digital technologies, ensuring students gain practical exposure aligned with industry needs.

In addition to academic initiatives, foundation stones were laid for two new hostels — a 200-bed boys’ hostel (Rs 9.17 crore) and a 100-bed girls’ hostel (Rs 6.65 crore).

These facilities will expand residential capacity to 300 beds, improving student accommodation.

Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reviewed teaching systems and infrastructure, while local MLAs Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Raghuram Machha attended the ceremony.

For Koraput, a tribal-dominated district, these developments mark a significant push toward empowering youth with employable skills and modern facilities.
