Inner Chamber of Ratna Bhandar to Be Counted from April 13
Puri, April 11: The ongoing inventory of the Ratna Bhandar at Puri’s Jagannath Temple has reached a crucial milestone, with officials confirming that 90% of the ornaments in the outer chamber have been documented.
The exercise, conducted with 3D mapping, videography, and photography, aims to ensure accuracy and transparency while respecting temple traditions.
According to temple authorities, the next phase will begin on April 13, focusing on the inner chamber, considered the most sacred section of the treasury.
The process will pause on April 14 for Mahavishuba Sankranti and resume from April 16–18.
Officials emphasised that the inventory is vital for preserving the sanctity and heritage of Srimandir’s treasures, assuring devotees of accountability and precision in the documentation process.
