Heavy Rains Shut Panchalingeswar Temple, Devotees Return Disappointed

Baleshwar: Continuous heavy rainfall in northern Odisha has led to the temporary closure of the famous Panchalingeswar Temple in Baleshwar district.

Rising water levels in the hill streams surrounding the shrine created hazardous conditions, prompting the temple trust board to lock the main gate as a precautionary measure.

Large numbers of devotees, including Kanwarias carrying holy water for Jalabhishek, were unable to perform rituals.

The strong water flow over the Panchalinga inside the stone cave made darshan impossible, leaving many devotees disappointed.

Temple authorities have assured that normal darshan and rituals will resume once the water level recedes and conditions stabilise.
