Devotee Missing After Kawadias Swept Away in Anugola Nullah
Anugola district witnessed a tragic incident on the second Shravan Somvar when two Kawadias were swept away by strong currents in Lingara Nala near Tipirisingha.
The devotees had gone to collect water for the Jalabhishek ritual at Tipirisingha temple.
Local villagers managed to rescue one devotee, but the other remains missing.
The missing person is suspected to be from Bentapur, though his identity has not yet been confirmed.
Heavy rainfall in the region has sharply raised water levels, making rivers and nullahs extremely dangerous.
The Anugola Fire Service team has launched an intensive search and rescue operation.
Authorities have urged devotees and residents to exercise extreme caution near water bodies during this monsoon period.
