Congress MLAs Storm Odisha Assembly Over Farmer Woes

Bhubaneswar: On the third day of the Odisha Assembly session, Congress MLAs staged a protest outside the Assembly, gathering at the Mahatma Gandhi statue with placards and slogans.

The legislators highlighted three pressing issues—farmer distress, rising unemployment, and deteriorating law and order—accusing the state government of ignoring public concerns.

Congress leaders alleged that their voices were being suppressed inside the Assembly, forcing them to resort to street‑style agitation.

The protest disrupted proceedings and set a tense tone for the day’s legislative agenda.
