Massive Fire Guts Tent House Store in Bhubaneswar
A massive fire broke out at a tent house storeroom in Paikarapur, Bhubaneswar, destroying materials worth lakhs of rupees.
The blaze spread rapidly, prompting the deployment of four firefighting teams — two from Tamando, one from Chandrasekharpur, and one from the Striking Fire Force (SFF).
After hours of effort, the teams managed to bring the situation under control.
On the same day, a sleeper bus caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway near Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, killing nine passengers and injuring several others.
The bus was en route from Delhi to Mahoba when flames erupted suddenly, trapping many passengers inside.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
Both incidents underscore the urgent need for enhanced fire safety measures in public and commercial spaces.
