CM Majhi Launches Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on PM Modi’s Birthday

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on September 17, 2026, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.

The programme began with the planting of an Ashok sapling at Loka Seva Bhawan and was followed by a large blood donation camp at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.

Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi hailed PM Modi as the “Architect of Viksit Bharat” and urged youth to dedicate themselves to nation-building and social service.

He emphasised that blood donation reflects the highest human values and strengthens community bonds.

The state government has allocated ₹50.54 crore under the Atal Rakhtadan Abhiyan for 2026–27 to modernise blood banks and establish advanced storage units in new medical colleges across Odisha.

Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal, and other senior leaders joined the event, highlighting it as a tribute to PM Modi’s 25 years of public service.

Hundreds of volunteers and donors participated, underscoring Odisha’s commitment to social welfare and collective responsibility.
