BRICS Disaster Meet in Puri: Odisha CM to Inaugurate
Puri, Odisha: The BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group’s technical meeting entered its second day in Puri, with delegates from 11 countries participating in the three‑day conference.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to formally inaugurate the event, which focuses on strengthening global cooperation in disaster preparedness and resilience.

Odisha will showcase its globally recognised disaster management model, credited with minimising casualties during cyclones and floods through early warning systems and community participation.
