BJD Jan Sampark Padayatra 2026: Naveen Patnaik Launches Statewide Outreach on Gandhi Jayanti
Bhubaneswar, Sept 30: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has announced the launch of its Jan Sampark Padayatra 2026 on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti), with party supremo Naveen Patnaik inaugurating the campaign from Ward No. 52 in Bhubaneswar.
The month‑long outreach, running until November 2, will span all 34 organisational districts, blocks, municipalities, NACs, and municipal corporations across Odisha.
The initiative aims to highlight what the party calls the “failures of the BJP’s Double Engine government” while showcasing BJD’s developmental achievements.
Party workers will conduct door‑to‑door visits, raising issues of women’s safety, law and order, economic autonomy, and welfare delays.
Key grievances include the impact of the MMDR Act on Odisha’s financial rights, stalled metro projects, poor road conditions, textbook errors, and bottlenecks in housing and sanitation schemes.
Farmers, youth, women, Tribals, Dalits, and minorities are expected to be central to the campaign’s messaging.
The BJD leadership has positioned the padayatra as a direct public connect program, asserting that the BJP has failed to deliver on promises made over the past 27 months.
