Big Administrative Reshuffle: 29 OAS Officers Reposted Across Districts

Bhubaneswar, April 30: The Odisha Government has ordered a significant reshuffle, transferring and posting 29 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers across various districts.

The notification, issued by the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, aims to strengthen governance, improve service delivery, and enhance transparency at the grassroots level.

Most officers have been reassigned as Tahasildars, with postings spread across districts including Balasore, Angul, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Sambalpur.

The reshuffle is expected to bolster land management, disaster preparedness, and local service access.

Notable transfers include:

  • Sasmita Murmu → Tahasildar, Baliapal (Balasore)
  • Pranab Ranjan Sahu → Tahasildar, Kaniha (Angul)
  • Lalitendu Dandsena → Tahasildar, Nuapada
  • Manas Ranjan Panda → Tahasildar, Padampur (Bargarh)
  • Chinmaya Das → Tahasildar, Koida (Sundargarh)
  • Urmila Pradhan → Tahasildar, Salepur (Cuttack)
  • Jayadratha Acharya → Tahasildar, Gop (Puri)
  • Ranjan Kumar Sahoo → Tahasildar, Kishore Nagar (Angul)

The reshuffle, approved by the competent authority under the Governor’s direction, is part of routine administrative measures to optimise officer deployment and strengthen district‑level coordination.

Departments have been instructed to ensure smooth transitions and immediate compliance with postings.
