Vice President Launches Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Thursday for a one‑day visit to Odisha.
During his trip, he launched the Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission Document at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).
The mission aims to strengthen the state’s fisheries sector by promoting sustainable deep‑sea fishing, modern practices, and improved marine infrastructure.
It is expected to boost livelihoods in coastal communities and contribute to Odisha’s long‑term blue economy growth.
The Vice President is also scheduled to attend other official programmes before concluding his visit.
