Two Years of BJP Rule in Odisha: PM Modi to Join Celebrations

Bhubaneswar, May 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha to mark the second anniversary of the BJP-led government in the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended a personal invitation to the Prime Minister during a meeting in New Delhi, and the PMO has confirmed the visit.

Preparations are underway for the high-profile event, with tentative dates being considered on June 12, June 20, or September 17, 2026.

The visit carries political significance as it marks two years since the BJP ended the BJD’s long rule in Odisha in 2024.

During his earlier interactions, PM Modi emphasised infrastructure development, investment promotion, and welfare schemes tailored for Odisha’s growth.

The upcoming visit is expected to reinforce these priorities and highlight the synergy between the Centre and the state government.

The announcement has sparked enthusiasm among BJP workers and citizens, who view the Prime Minister’s presence as a reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to Odisha’s progress.
