Twin Cities Brace for Rain Within Next 2 Hours

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast bulletin forecasting light to moderate rainfall in the twin cities within the next 1–2 hours.

Both Khordha and Cuttack districts have been placed under a Yellow Warning, signalling the likelihood of intermittent showers and localised moderate rainfall.

Meteorologists attribute the conditions to an active southwest monsoon, which is driving moisture‑laden winds and unstable atmospheric activity.

The IMD has cautioned that sudden convective developments may bring brief spells of heavier rain, gusty winds, and reduced visibility.

This marks the second advisory of the day for the region, underscoring persistent monsoon activity across Odisha.

Commuters and residents are advised to remain alert, monitor official updates, and follow local administration advisories for safety.
