Truck‑Pickup Collision Triggers Fire at Ampani Ghat

A devastating collision between a truck and a poultry‑laden pickup at Ampani Ghat near Biri Muhana on the Kalahandi–Nabarangpur border late Saturday night sparked a massive fire.

The pickup struck the truck’s diesel tank, igniting both vehicles, which were reduced to ashes within minutes.

Fortunately, drivers and helpers managed to escape with minor injuries, though the pickup driver fled the scene.

Firefighters from Kokasara battled for hours to control the blaze, while police registered a case and began investigating the cause.
