According to reports, both trucks had unloaded coal in Jajpur and were heading toward Talcher when the trailing vehicle collided with the one ahead under unclear circumstances.
The impact crushed the front cabin, trapping the driver inside.

He was immediately shifted to Kamakhyanagar hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
