Ten Andhra Fishermen Rescued After Boat Breakdown Off Puri Coast

Puri: A dramatic rescue unfolded off the Puri coast when ten fishermen from Andhra Pradesh were stranded after their boat’s engine failed and the anchor malfunctioned.

The vessel drifted dangerously close to the Taj Hotel coastline, raising alarm among locals.

Responding swiftly, the Superintendent of Police directed Baliapanda Police Station and Penthakata Marine Police to coordinate with nearby fishing vessels.

A rescue boat from Visakhapatnam reached the stranded vessel and evacuated all ten fishermen safely.

The rescued fishermen, all residents of Chintapalli village in Vizianagaram district, escaped unharmed.

Authorities are now arranging to tow the disabled boat to safety.
