Sundargarh: Shots Fired at Coal Trader’s Residence, Police Suspect Rivalry in Mining Sector

Late Saturday night, tension gripped Sundargarh after miscreants opened fire at the residence of coal trader Sanjay Nand.

According to reports, a group of youths initially engaged in a heated argument with the security personnel stationed at the house.

They later returned on motorcycles and fired multiple rounds, narrowly missing the guards.

No casualties were reported, but the incident sparked panic in the locality.

Police reached the spot promptly, seized weapons, and launched raids to trace the attackers.

Senior officials are supervising the investigation, which is suspected to be linked to illegal coal trading and sectoral rivalry.
