Sundaragada Man Held After Brutal Axe Attack on Brother-in-law

Sundaragada: A shocking incident unfolded in Badkhalia village on July 17 when a drunken quarrel escalated into violence.

Sagar Oram allegedly attacked his brother-in-law, Ratan Lal Oram, with an axe, leaving him critically injured.

According to police, the victim sustained a six-inch deep wound on his back and was rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where his condition remains serious.

Following a complaint lodged by Ritesh Oram, Lefripoda police registered Case No. 204 and swiftly arrested the accused.

Sagar has been charged under Sections 296/109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The accused was produced in court, and further investigation is underway.

Authorities have assured strict legal action as the community reels from the violent family dispute.
