Rath Yatra 2026: Trinity to Grace Adapa Mandap Today

Bhubaneswar: The sacred journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra continues as the sibling deities are ceremoniously escorted to the Adapa Mandap at Gundicha Temple this evening.

The revered ritual, known as Pahandi Bije, begins at 5:30 pm, marking a pivotal moment in the nine‑day Rath Yatra festival.

The Adapa Mandap is regarded as the birthplace of the deities, where they will reside for a week.

The sequence of the ritual starts with the proxy idols of Madan Mohana and Ramkrushna, followed by Chakraraj Sudarshan, then Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra, and finally Lord Jagannath amid chants, conches, and cymbals.

Thousands of devotees are expected to throng Gundicha Temple for darshan.

From Sunday, the much‑awaited Adapa Abadha Mahaprasad will be available to devotees, adding to the spiritual fervour of the occasion.
