Sudhir Murder Case: Audio Evidence and Conflicting Statements Surface
Berhampur, April 28: Fresh revelations have emerged in the Sudhir murder case following the completion of a three‑day police remand of five accused.
The suspects, now returned to judicial custody, reportedly gave contradictory statements during interrogation—sometimes admitting involvement, at other times denying or remaining silent.
Earlier, the accused claimed Sudhir’s death was accidental during an assault, not a planned murder.
However, new evidence has complicated the investigation. Sudhir’s daughter, Preeti, alleged threats to her mother over a phone call, while an audio recording surfaced suggesting the accused were allegedly paid Rs 50 lakh to carry out the murder.
Police are now examining the authenticity of the audio evidence and indicated that the accused may be brought back on remand if necessary.
With conflicting testimonies and fresh leads, investigators face mounting challenges in establishing the motive and sequence of events.
