RTI Activist Attacked in Broad Daylight at Dhenkanal
Dhenkanal, Odisha: RTI activist Priyabrata Gadnayak was brutally assaulted in broad daylight near Mahisapat Square on Wednesday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses reported that miscreants stopped his vehicle, dragged him onto the road, and attacked him with sharp weapons, leaving him with deep wounds on his face, hands, and legs.
Locals rushed Gadnayak to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors formed a special team to treat his critical injuries.
The incident sparked panic among residents who witnessed the attack unfold in the busy town area.
Police reached the spot soon after and launched an investigation.
Authorities are probing whether the assault is linked to Gadnayak’s RTI activism.
While no arrests have been made yet, efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
