Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 Crosses ₹20 Crore in Advance Booking Ahead of Release
The anticipation surrounding Rajinikanth’s upcoming action entertainer Jailer 2 has reached new heights, with the film reportedly crossing ₹20 crore in worldwide advance ticket bookings ahead of its theatrical release.
According to industry reports, overseas markets have emerged as the biggest contributors to the early ticket sales, with international pre-sales nearing $2 million and generating more than ₹11 crore.
In India, advance bookings have already crossed ₹4 crore, led by strong demand in Tamil Nadu.
Chennai remains one of the key markets driving ticket sales, reflecting the enduring popularity of Rajinikanth among moviegoers.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, the sequel marks the return of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, one of the most celebrated characters in recent Tamil cinema.
The film also features Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa in pivotal roles.
Adding to the excitement, reports suggest cameo appearances by Mammootty and Shiva Rajkumar, while music composer Anirudh Ravichander returns to provide the soundtrack.
Meanwhile, fan speculation regarding a possible cameo by Hrithik Roshan continues to circulate online after viewers spotted a mysterious silhouette in promotional material.
However, the filmmakers have not officially confirmed the reports.
With strong international demand, robust bookings across Tamil Nadu and growing interest nationwide, trade analysts expect Jailer 2 to register one of the biggest openings of the year when it hits theatres on October 15, 2026.
