Rajgangpur Highway Firing: Two Arrested, Firearm Seized

Sundargarh police have arrested two youths in connection with the July 8 highway firing incident near Litibeda forest under Kutra police limits.

The attack involved five miscreants on motorcycles who opened fire at a truck carrying stone chips.

The arrested accused — Mohammad Hanan (21) and Mohammad Tafsir (19), both from Khatakurabahal village — were taken into custody following swift raids.

Police recovered a firearm and a motorcycle used in the crime.

Superintendent of Police Amritpal Kaur supervised the investigation, forming three special teams to track down the culprits.

While two have been nabbed, raids are continuing to apprehend the remaining three suspects.

Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the firing, which sparked concern among commuters and locals along the Rajgangpur highway.
