Puri Woman’s Body Found Buried Under Kitchen Floor, Son Missing

Police in Puri uncovered a shocking crime in the Kumbharapada area after recovering a woman’s decomposed body buried beneath the kitchen floor of her rented house.

Investigators believe her son killed her, concealed the body, and plastered over the floor.

The discovery was made after foul odour and dirty water seeped through the kitchen floor, prompting neighbours to alert authorities.

Police dug up the floor and found the body, estimated to be about four days old. A knife was seized from the scene.

The woman and her son had been living in the house for two months. The son has been missing since Sunday and is currently on the run.

Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
