Puri Jagannath Temple Darshan Suspended for Four Hours Tomorrow

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced that public darshan of the deities will remain suspended tomorrow for four hours, from 6 PM to 10 PM.

The restriction is due to the sacred Banaka Lagi ritual, a secret rejuvenation ceremony performed for Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.

The ritual will commence after the second Bhoga Mandap offering.

Temple authorities have urged devotees to plan their visit accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

This temporary suspension is part of the temple’s age‑old traditions, ensuring the sanctity and continuity of rituals.
