Puri Guest House Horror: Four Arrested in Gang-Rape Case

Nimapara police have arrested four men in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a woman at a private guest house in Puri district.

The survivor, who joined the guest house on September 1 after being persuaded by one of the accused, lodged a complaint at Khandagiri Police Station on September 8.

The case was registered as a Zero FIR and later transferred to Nimapara.

The accused — identified as Ramesh Das, Raja, Sushant, and Akshay — were all employees of the guest house.

According to the complaint, the woman was repeatedly assaulted and threatened with death if she reported the matter.

Police apprehended two suspects in Pipili and two in Nimapara.

Meanwhile, local tensions escalated as BJD supporters staged a protest, alleging that the accused had links to the ruling BJP and accusing police of attempting to suppress the case.

These political claims remain unverified.

The investigation is ongoing, with police working to establish the circumstances of the alleged offences.
