Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari described the situation as grim, noting widespread inundation across rural and urban areas.
Rescue and relief teams are working round‑the‑clock to provide essential supplies and monitor embankments.
Authorities report that water levels are beginning to stabilise, with expectations of significant improvement within the next 24 hours.
