Odisha’s OPGC Secures National Recognition in Power Generation
Bhubaneswar, June 2026: Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) has achieved a landmark distinction by securing the top position among state-sector power generators in India in the Plant Load Factor (PLF) rankings up to May 2026.
Nationally, OPGC stands at 10th place across all sectors and 6th among large power stations with capacities exceeding 1000 MW.
This recognition underscores the corporation’s operational excellence, reliability, and efficiency in power generation.
Officials credited the achievement to robust maintenance practices, dedicated operational teams, and visionary leadership from the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Energy.
