Odisha Works Minister Puts ₹50 Cr Projects on Fast Track

Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan has put key infrastructure projects worth over Rs 50 crore on the fast track, warning contractors and officials of strict action for delays or negligence.

Chairing a high‑level review meeting, Harichandan emphasised speed, quality, and accountability, making it clear that no deadline extensions will be granted.

He directed that projects must reflect Odisha’s cultural identity and be completed ahead of the upcoming Puri Rath Yatra.

Priority projects include the Puri Heritage Project, SCB Clinical & Residential Complex, Baseli Sahi Dharmasala, Ravenshaw Girls’ Hostel, MLAs’ quarters in Bhubaneswar, the second bridge over the Brahmani River, and upgrades to Sarala and Mahima temples.

The Jajpur Sports Complex, along with 10 roads, 9 bridges, 8 buildings, and 20 OBCC projects, were also flagged for timely completion.

The Minister urged officials to adopt modern online monitoring tools to ensure coordination and transparency.
