Odisha Urban Road Transformation Plan: Works Minister Reviews 3‑Year Blueprint for 10 Towns
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan chaired a high‑level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to finalise a three‑year roadmap for transforming urban road infrastructure across ten major towns — Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Berhampur, Balasore, Balangir, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, Keonjhar, and Jajpur.
The blueprint emphasises the construction of bypasses, improved connectivity with arterial roads, and the adoption of modern road safety systems.
Senior officials, including Usha Padhee (Additional Chief Secretary, Housing & Urban Development), Sanjay Kumar Singh (Principal Secretary, Public Works), and Laxmikant Padhi (Special Secretary), participated in the meeting.
The initiative aims to make Odisha’s urban transport network more systematic, efficient, and modern, ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhanced safety standards for citizens.
