Odisha to Lead Eastern Growth Talks at CII Council

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to host the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region Council meeting, bringing together representatives from Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Ahead of the event, CII Odisha Chapter Chairman Anil Singh and Vice‑Chairman Manikanta Nayak met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to discuss the agenda.

The meeting will focus on coordinated development under the Prime Minister’s Purvodaya initiative, aimed at accelerating growth in eastern India.

Chief Minister Majhi will present Odisha’s growth strategy, highlighting industrial expansion, infrastructure development, and investment promotion.

The council aims to strengthen partnerships among eastern states and explore opportunities for industrial and social advancement.

Odisha’s participation underscores its commitment to regional collaboration and sustainable economic growth, positioning the state as a key driver of development in eastern India.
