Odisha Opens Online Registration for Habishyali Scheme 2026 Ahead of Kartika Brata

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has launched the online registration process for the Habishyali Scheme 2026, enabling eligible women devotees to participate in the month-long Kartika Brata observance in Puri.

Under the scheme, 2,500 devotees will receive accommodation and various support services during the sacred period.

Based on information published in Kartika Brata 2026: Online Habishyali Registration Opens in Odisha.

Kartika Brata, one of Odisha’s most revered spiritual observances, is scheduled to be held from October 26 to November 24, 2026.

The state government has made arrangements to facilitate a comfortable and safe stay for participating devotees in Puri.

According to the official guidelines, registered women devotees will be provided free accommodation at designated facilities, including Brundabati Nivas, Municipal Kalyan Mandap, and the Railway Tourist Complex.

They will also receive organised darshan at the Jagannath Temple, daily Abadha Mahaprasad, medical assistance, transportation support, and volunteer services throughout the observance period.

Eligibility for the scheme includes widowed women up to 70 years of age and married women aged between 50 and 70 years.

Women from all 30 districts of Odisha can apply through the state’s e-District portal.

Authorities have clarified that applications will be accepted exclusively through the online portal, and selection will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration will automatically close once the quota of 2,500 participants is reached.

First-time applicants will be given preference over those who have previously availed benefits under the scheme.

Applicants are required to furnish Aadhaar details, domicile proof, and contact information while completing the registration process online.

The initiative aims to support devotees observing Kartika Brata by ensuring access to accommodation, food, healthcare, and temple services during their stay in the holy city of Puri.
