Odisha Govt Turns Down DCP Jagmohan Meena’s Resignation
The Odisha government has declined to accept the resignation of Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena.
Meena, a 2013‑batch IPS officer and IIT Kanpur alumnus, had submitted his resignation in July citing personal reasons.
He clarified that the decision was made after discussions with family and friends, stressing that there was no external pressure or political interference.
During his career, Meena has served as SP in Anugola, Ganjam, and Malkangiri, and as DCP of Cuttack.
He assumed charge as Bhubaneswar DCP on February 28, 2025.
Reports suggest he may join a family‑run enterprise in Rajasthan, though he emphasised his plans are purely personal.
Since the resignation has not been accepted, Meena continues in his role as Bhubaneswar DCP.
