Suspended BJP Leader Prakash Paswan Nabbed in Bihar After 11 Days on the Run

Suspended BJP youth leader Prakash Paswan was arrested in Bihar after evading police for 11 days in connection with the Rourkela Circuit House case.

Paswan, who previously represented Union Tribal Affairs Minister and Sundargarh BJP MP Jual Oram in the Rourkela Municipal Corporation, was taken into custody following a non‑bailable warrant issued by the Panposh SDJM court.

The case stems from the August 15 raid at the government‑run Circuit House in Rourkela, where police seized firearms and live ammunition.

Two criminals were arrested on the spot, while seven more were later apprehended.

Investigators allege Paswan masterminded the sheltering of armed criminals at the premises.

Authorities plan to interrogate him on how the accused gained access to government property and whether administrative lapses enabled the hideout.

His arrest is seen as a crucial step in dismantling the criminal network linked to the Circuit House incident.
