Odisha Govt Reshuffles 7 OAS Officers as BDOs

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has announced the transfer of seven Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers, appointing them as Block Development Officers (BDOs) in different blocks across the state.

The notification, issued by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department on May 27, 2026, under the orders of the Governor, is part of routine administrative reshuffles aimed at strengthening governance at the grassroots level.

These transfers are expected to enhance efficiency in block administration, ensuring better implementation of welfare schemes and development projects.

The move reflects the state’s focus on decentralised governance and improved service delivery in rural areas.
