Odisha Finance Dept Exposes Fake Sishu Vatika Teacher Recruitment Letter
The Odisha Finance Department has issued a strong clarification after a forged letter claiming approval of 7,234 Sishu Vatika Teacher posts under OSEPA went viral on social media and was even reported by some print outlets.
The fake document, dated April 24, 2026, with Letter No. 10911/F, falsely suggested that the government had sanctioned new teaching positions with a monthly salary of Rs 26,200.
The department confirmed the letter is “completely fake, fabricated and unauthorised,” stressing that no such proposal or sanction exists.
The circulation of this forged letter created widespread confusion and false hope among thousands of teacher aspirants.
Authorities have now referred the matter for criminal investigation against those responsible for preparing and spreading the misinformation.
The government has urged citizens, media, and stakeholders to rely only on official notifications and authorised channels for employment updates.
Officials warned that misinformation around recruitment can have serious consequences, reaffirming their commitment to transparency and authentic communication.
