Odisha Fast‑Tracks Infra Push with PM Gati Shakti
Bhubaneswar: Odisha has intensified efforts to fast‑track infrastructure development through the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, as the state prepares for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit.
At a high‑level review meeting chaired by Works, Law & Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan at Lok Seva Bhawan, officials emphasised maximising the use of the Gati Shakti portal to ensure timely and high‑quality project execution.
The meeting highlighted the importance of seamless coordination between central and state departments to simplify approvals and accelerate implementation.
Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh described Gati Shakti as a “game‑changer” for Odisha’s development, enabling integrated planning of roads, bridges, and buildings with multi‑modal connectivity.
Discussions focused on upcoming projects, road alignments, connectivity networks, and preparation of detailed project reports.
The review also covered projects scheduled for foundation stone laying and inauguration during the Prime Minister’s visit.
Senior officials, including OBCC MD Anupam Saha, EIC & Special Secretary L.K. Padhi, Finance Advisor Ratikanta Mahapatra, and several Chief Engineers, attended the meeting.
