Odisha CM Dismisses Doctor Over Corruption Charges

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has dismissed Dr Patitapaban Barik from government service after corruption charges were proven against him.

Dr Barik, who was serving as Medical Officer at Gurandi Community Health Centre (CHC) in Gajapati district, had earlier been posted at Gurundia CHC in Sundargarh, where the charges originated.

The Chief Minister’s Office reiterated its zero‑tolerance policy toward corruption, stressing that no officer found guilty will be spared.

CM Majhi directed officials across the administration to enforce strict accountability and uphold clean governance, reinforcing his consistent message: “Corruption will not be tolerated at any level.”
