No Rain in Odisha for Seven Days, IMD Predicts Temperature Drop
Odisha residents can expect a dry spell over the next week, according to the state weather centre.
Director Manorama Mohanty confirmed that a low‑pressure system has formed over the South Andaman Sea and is likely to intensify into a deep depression within 24 hours before transforming into a cyclone.
Officials reassured that the cyclone will not have any direct impact on Odisha. Instead, the state will experience cooler conditions, with temperatures expected to drop by 2–3°C from tomorrow. Cloudy skies may appear in some areas, but the overall winter effect will remain mild.
The IMD emphasised that residents should not fear heavy rainfall during this period. The shift in weather marks the onset of winter across Odisha, bringing a stronger chill and seasonal change without the threat of severe storms.
