Naveen Patnaik Prays for Safe Return of Missing Odia Fishermen

A tragic incident unfolded off the West Bengal coast when a fishing trawler named Maa Kali capsized near Kakdwip in the Bay of Bengal.

The accident claimed the lives of nine fishermen, while six remain missing.

Among the missing are three Odia fishermen from Balasore district — brothers Rabindra Majhi, Jagannath Majhi, and Jayaram Majhi of Uluda village in Bhograi block.

Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, offering condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the safe return of the missing fishermen.
