Miracle Surgery at Tata Steel Hospital Saves Mother and Child

Kendujhar: In a remarkable medical achievement, doctors at Tata Steel Hospital have successfully saved the lives of both a mother and her unborn child through advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dumuni Majhi, a resident of Joda, was diagnosed with a massive 12-centimetre ovarian cyst during pregnancy.

While leading hospitals in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar advised immediate surgery, they warned the family that the chances of the baby’s survival were slim.

The news left the family deeply distressed.

Relief came when Tata Steel Hospital contacted them with an assurance that laparoscopic surgery could be performed safely without endangering the child.

Under the leadership of Dr Shriram and Dr Jayasingh Majhi, the medical team carried out the complex procedure with precision.

Following the successful removal of the cyst, Dumuni later delivered a healthy baby boy via cesarean section. Both mother and child are now in stable condition.
