Minor Girl Abducted, Gang‑Raped in Sundargarh Forest; Police Detain Five Suspects
Sundargarh (Odisha): A shocking case of sexual violence has emerged from Sundargarh district, where a minor girl from Chhattisgarh was allegedly abducted and gang‑raped by seven men in a forest area under Talsara police limits.
According to reports, the survivor had come to her maternal uncle’s house in Bandega village.
On Saturday night, two men forcibly took her on a motorcycle to a nearby forest, where five others were waiting.
The group allegedly assaulted her before abandoning her at the spot.
The girl managed to return home and narrated the ordeal to her family.
With the assistance of a local social worker, a formal complaint was lodged with the police.
Talsara police have registered a case and detained five suspects for questioning, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining accused.
