Kendrapara Youth Missing Near Baitarani River, Panic Grips Locals

Bhadrak, April 15: A youth from Madhupada village under Rajkanika police limits has gone missing near the Baitarani river bridge in Chandabali, sparking panic among locals.

The missing youth has been identified as Jayarath Mallik. On Wednesday morning, villagers discovered his shoes and mobile phone left on the Gamon bridge, but he was nowhere to be found.

Fire service personnel immediately launched a vigorous search operation in the river, diving and combing the waters to trace him.

The incident drew large crowds of anxious villagers to the site.

Police are investigating the case from multiple angles, including suicide and foul play, but have not yet confirmed whether Jayarath deliberately jumped into the river or if other circumstances led to his disappearance.

The incident has left the community in shock, as the mystery surrounding his disappearance continues to unfold.
