Justice Bibhu Prasad Routray Appointed Executive Chairman of OSLSA

Justice Bibhu Prasad Routray of the Orissa High Court has been nominated as the new Executive Chairman of the Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA).

The Law Department of the Government of Odisha issued the official notification on Thursday, confirming his appointment under Section 6(2)(b) of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.

The OSLSA plays a crucial role in ensuring access to justice for marginalised communities by providing free legal aid, organising Lok Adalats, and promoting legal awareness across the state.

As Executive Chairman, Justice Routray will oversee the authority’s administrative and policy functions, strengthening its initiatives to deliver justice to weaker sections of society.

His appointment is expected to further enhance the efficiency and outreach of OSLSA’s programs, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to equitable justice.
