DJ Ban Continues During Durga Puja Immersion in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar will once again witness Durga Puja celebrations without DJs during the immersion processions.
The decision was finalised at a preparatory meeting attended by Puja committee representatives, intellectuals, MLAs, MPs, electricity staff, and police officials.
Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh stated that last year’s arrangements were widely appreciated, and all stakeholders agreed to maintain peace, safety, and hassle‑free festivities this year.
Authorities have mandated Puja committees to deploy volunteers, install CCTV cameras, and secure fire safety clearance.
Additionally, a single‑window online grievance redressal system will be operational from September 29 to address complaints and ensure smooth coordination.
The emphasis remains on orderly celebrations, prioritising public safety and community harmony.
